I recently ordered a sandwich cutter/sealer from a Pampered Chef fundraiser and I could not wait to try it out! Instead of a classic PB&J I decided to try it with a breakfast sandwich!
Ingredients:
- 1 Egg
- 1 Slice of cheese (I used a Kraft single!)
- 1 piece of bacon
- 2 slices of bread
Directions:
- Cook bacon in a skillet. I prefer mine nice and crunchy but however you like!
- In a small bowl whisk your egg.
- Once your bacon is fully cooked remove it to a plate. I then added my egg directly into the bacon grease. In my family we call this a bacon-egg and it really is the only way to eat eggs for breakfast.
- DO NOT STIR
- Cook the egg on medium-low until mostly firm. Then gently lift with a spatula and flip to cook the other side.
- To assemble the sandwich I cut the egg and cheese with the cutter and then trimmed it smaller to avoid getting it in the seal part.
- Then I layered egg, cheese and bacon between the bread and cut!
- Finally I buttered each side of the bread and then grilled it in the skillet to get it nice and toasty!
- Then I gave it to my toddler who proceeded to deconstruct the cute masterpiece and I almost cried. So maybe your kid will love this but every kid is different so who knows?!
